Simple PDF Capture is a Chrome extension that saves any browser tab as a PDF. Its default is a clean, selectable-text PDF of the page’s main content, built entirely in your browser. No accounts, no cloud uploads, just click and save.
Chrome’s built-in Print to PDF often cuts long pages off and bakes in the nav bars, ads, and cookie banners. Simple PDF Capture extracts the actual article and saves it as real, searchable text in a clean, paginated PDF. One button, one file.
The extension reads the page’s main content in your browser, strips the clutter, and lays it out as a selectable-text PDF. When a page has no clean article to extract (a dashboard, a web app, a receipt), it automatically falls back to capturing the full page as an image PDF so you always get a file.
The clean article PDF is free. An optional Pro upgrade ($14.99 one-time) adds on-demand full-page image PDFs (capture a page exactly as it looks) plus typography, margin, and paper-size controls.
Simple PDF Capture was built by Duncan Rawlinson, a photographer and technologist based in Canada.
The extension collects zero personal data. No analytics inside the extension, no tracking, no accounts. The PDF is built locally in your browser. The only network request it ever makes is a one-time Pro license validation if you choose to upgrade. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
